Critical Clarity: What to Expect
After 15 years as The Writing Source, we’re pleased to officially announcing a rebranding effort. Why now? Well, a lot’s changed since 2010, and we need an identity that better reflects the team’s collective experience and broad skillset. Critical Clarity evokes our North Star: Putting valuable information in front of end users in a digestible form, while engineering systems and processes to seamlessly maintain that objective.
“Bloughts”
Blog + Thought = Blought
Each week, Critical Clarity will publish at least one blog post. These will range from deep dives into some aspect of our field to a few sentences commenting on a bit of news or media relevant to the online content space. Either way, our posts will never be glib. They’ll always be the result of careful and deliberate thought. And that’s how we came up with “bloughts” as a cheeky title.
In this inaugural blought, the goal is merely to (re)introduce ourselves and briefly share some of the new services we’re pleased to offer clients around the world.
Service Offerings
The past several years have seen us grow beyond copywriting and editing into Content Specialist roles that emphasize production more so than creation. To that end, we’ve become skilled in many of the major CMS platforms as well as managing the steady (or rapid) flow of content from creators all the way through publication.
In broad strokes, Critical Clarity offers the following services to clients:

An Ever-Expanding Toolbox
At Critical Clarity, the team will never rest on its laurels. Technology is evolving at a breakneck pace. That includes the so-called “Content Stack.” Since 2020, we’ve all witnessed Large Language Models unleash seismic disturbances in many industries. For us, generative AI is, on the one hand, another tool in the toolbox. But on the other hand, it’s a tool that must be deployed with caution. We’ll have much more to say on that in a future blought.
Forecasting 2026
We will continue to offer copywriting and editing services to our established clients; our focus going forward will be on the procedural and technical aspects of delivering timely, informative content to your organization’s end users via the services described above.
Until next time, we wish you well.
